I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since our “little” family christening for our “little” baby Hugh. Newsflash; I have a huge family so there’s no such thing as a little gathering in our family, plus I’m pretty sure no one has ever actually referred to our Hughie as little…

I planned to write about it at the time and share some of our favourite photos with you all, but you know what it’s like. First life got in the way. Then countless birthdays and Christmas got in the way. And then, you know, a global pandemic got in the way and made mass family gatherings like this one literally a criminal offence.
So (hopefully) you’ll forgive me for taking this opportunity to look back at these good times gone by, as who knows when we’ll all be able to get together again for this kind of thing…

Hugh’s christening day
17 adults. Nine kids. Three babies. Nowhere near enough parking spaces.
We’d filled our garden trees with white balloons. Stocked the fridge full of Prosecco. Rosie’d made a cake. Her sister was bringing the veg and dip. Both sets of grannies had made enough sandwiches to feed an army. And our talented old pal Ariel, who photographed Teddy’s London christening two years ago, arrived early to get some snaps before the service .
And we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out…

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s little trip down memory lane…for more daily updates, you can keep in touch with me and all things YOU THE DADDY via Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
