As a blogger, from the moment you post your very first article online, you have no idea where it will take you. Will anyone actually read what you’ve written? Will they love it or hate it? And once they’ve visited your blog once, will they keep coming back for more?
Never could I have imagined during those tentative early days that YOU THE DADDY would get to where it is today.
Like breaking into the top 350 UK parents bloggers list by TOTS 100 (out of over 8,000!) in just a year. Passing 10,000 followers across my social media channels. Actually meeting some of my blogging idols (and finding out they are even more awesome in real life than they are online). Being profiled in, and having my writing published by some of my favourite magazines and parenting websites. Or that some of my articles might actually resonate with people and have a real impact on their lives, getting shared thousands of times in the process. It’s been a rollercoaster ride but one that I never want to get off.
But since launching in February last year, there has been one blogging ambition which had so far eluded me; the lofty milestone of being handpicked to be a global ambassador for an international baby brand. That is, until now…
And so, it is with great pride (and quite a bit of excitement) that I can formally announce that I’ve been chosen to be part of the 2017 ‘Generation Graco’ Global Blogger Panel, alongside a select team of incredible parenting and lifestyle bloggers from across the world.
To kick it all off, Rosie, Teddy and I travelled down to LEGOLAND Windsor last week to meet with my fellow UK #GenerationGraco bloggers and their families for a very special event to launch this year’s programme.
As if going to chuffing LEGOLAND wasn’t cool enough (childhood dream fulfilled right there), once there we also got the chance to mingle with a host of seriously passionate Graco experts and try out some of their exciting new products first hand. And I’m pleased to say they didn’t disappoint.
If you’ve not come across Graco before, it is one of the world’s leading baby and parenting brands, established in the US nearly 60 years ago. Jump forward to present day and it’s known internationally for creating some of the most innovative baby solutions, designed for the real world of parenting. And parents are taking notice…
Literally everywhere I turn in London now, I see another pair of first time parents proudly pushing their little pride and joys around in one of Graco’s prams.
But as I now know, their range of parenting solutions goes far beyond just the prams I’ve spotted on the high street. In fact, it also includes pushchairs, car seats, swings, soothers, high chairs, and travel cots; each one offering excellent value for money, while being cleverly engineered with parents’ convenience in mind.
So, over the next six months, be sure to keep your eyes peeled on the blog, as I’m going to be road testing a bunch of new and hero products from Graco’s range, putting them through their paces and letting you know how they measure up. Watch this space!
